Inca Trail et Machu Picchu

Apres nos quelques jours a Cusco, nous sommes partis vers le merveilleux Machu Picchu. Mais attention, pas en bus comme la plupart des visiteurs, mais a pied pour un trajet de 4 jours par l´un des anciens trails des Inca (et aujourd´hui l´un des plus parcouru a pied). 

Du coup reveil samedi matin a 5h20 pour prendre le bus de Cusco jusqu´au kilometre 82 apres Ollantayambo. Nous sommes un groupe de 9 joyeux randonneurs, 2 guides et 12 porteurs. Je vous passe tous les details, et poste directement des photos, mais tiens a dire que nous avons passé 4 tres bon jours avec un super groupe, et de la bouffe exceptionnelement bonne pour un tel trek!

After a couple of days in Cusco, we left the city to visit the famous Machu Picchu. However we did not go by bus, but hiked the long way there through a 4 day hike on the also famous Inca trail (which is actually not the only inca trail, or necesseraly the most beautifull of all, but the one that the royal inca familly took for religous purposes). 

Saturyday morning, we woke up early (5.20 am) to take the direction of Ollantaytambo and the kilometer 82 for the start of the trail. We are 9 hikers, 2 guides and 12 porters, which will prove to be a really good group with whom we had a lot of fun! Here are the pictures.

Jour 1: depart, et passage par quelques sites incas

Day 1: departure and visit of a couple of inca sites on the way...

Jour 2: Passe a 4200m un peu difficile pour Helene, moins pour nos porteurs chargés de 25kgs chacun pourtant. 

Day 2: Pass at 4200m a bit though for Helene, not as much for our porters with 25kgs each on their back...

Jour 3: longue journée de marche, avec encore plus de sites incas

Day 3: long day walking, with even more inca sites to visit

Jour 4: Le Machu Picchu, enfin. Nuageux, mais on termine avec une belle journée et de belles vues

Day 4: Machu Picchu, finally! A bit cloudy, but not for long!
